Policies and Measures to Facilitate Hong Kong People Studying, Working and Living in the Mainland

In his speech delivered on 1 July 2017 at the Inaugural Ceremony of the Fifth-Term Government of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (HKSAR), President Xi Jinping stated that the relevant Central Government departments would actively consider adopting concrete measures to facilitate Hong Kong people to study, work and live in the Mainland.

Thereafter, the HKSAR government has been actively following up on the matter. The Hong Kong and Macao Affairs Office of the State Council has so far announced two batches of policies and measures to facilitate Hong Kong people studying, working and living in the Mainland.
