Ms. Joyce TAM Wai-yee Director, Hong Kong Economic and Trade Affairs, Shanghai Government of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Ms. Joyce TAM Wai-yee, Director, Hong Kong Economic and Trade Affairs, Shanghai Ms Joyce Tam has been appointed the Director, Hong Kong Economic and Trade Affairs, Shanghai of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region since 7 March 2011. She joined the Hong Kong Government as an Administrative Officer in 1989 and has served in a number of Policy Bureaux of the Government Secretariat and Government Departments, including the Office of the Government Chief Information Officer, the then Commerce, Industry and Technology Bureau, the Civil Service Bureau, Housing Department and Hong Kong Economic and Trade Office in Washington D.C. Before taking up the post of Director, Hong Kong Economic and Trade Affairs, Shanghai, Ms Tam was the Assistant Director-General in the Trade and Industry Department, responsible for bilateral economic and trade relationship between Hong Kong and the Mainland.
